Unit Information

Unit: 3W Mood Disorder, Tucker Pavilion
Number of Beds: 28
Staffing (varies by shift):
- Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 2 RNs, 2 mental health techs
- Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 1 RN, 2 mental health techs
Patient Ratios: 7-10 patients per nurse (varies)
Equipment Used: Oxygen, Dinamap
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in Behavioral Health nursing
Must Have:
- Behavioral Health experience (required)
Preferred:
- Med/Surg experience
- Experience with higher acuity populations

Typical Procedures

Behavioral health assessments
Medication administration
Patient admissions and discharges

Certifications & Licenses

Registered Nurse License (valid)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Work Environment & Additional Info

Floating Areas: All units of Tucker Pavilion including adult, substance abuse, and child/adolescent units
Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Schedule: Weekends every other week; no on-call required
Personality Fit: Team player required
