Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath & EP Lab
• Number of Staff: Minimum 6 daily in EP lab area
• Shift: Day shift with a mix of RNs and Rad Tech/RCIS
• Patient Ratios: 3-person team per patient
• Equipment: Philips and GE procedure tables, GE BT22 documentation system
• EMR System: Meditech (upgrading to Expanse in July 2025)

Required Skills

• Circulate, Scrub, and/or Monitor
• Ablation procedures (Afib, Aflutter, VT, SVT, PVC)
• LAAO procedures (Watchman, Amulet)
• Device implants (PPM, ICD, Bi-V PPM/ICD)

Preferred Skills

• Loop (Implant/Explant)
• Leadless PPM
• Lead Extraction

Typical Procedures

• Ablations (all types)
• LAAO
• Device implants

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty

Work Environment & Expectations

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to adjust setup and working habits to fit lab and physician needs
• Floating areas may include Cath lab or Pre/Post areas based on experience
• Dress code: Seal Blue scrubs
• Minimum 1-2 late nights per week required
