Position Details

Unit Information

• Unit: Behavioral Health (Units AU1, AU2, AU3)
• Number of Beds: 60
• Patient Ratios:

  • AU1: Up to 23 adult patients
  • AU2/ADOL: Up to 8 adult patients and 8 adolescents
  • AU3: Up to 14 adult patients
• Floating Policy: Float to all units
• Scheduling: Every other weekend and rotating holidays
• Shift: Full-time core staff work 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each

Required Skills & Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Behavioral Health nursing
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Required Skills:

  • Behavioral Health experience
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation (MEDITECH system)
  • Manual Blood Pressure, Glucometer, EKG
  • Verbal de-escalation techniques
• Procedures Performed:

  • Observation rounds/monitoring
  • Vital signs
  • Patient/belongings search
  • Milieu management/safety
  • Group therapy (educational)

• Equipment Used: Quick Release Synthetic Restraints, Meditech, Computer, Printer, Fax, Telephone, EKG
• Documentation System: MEDITECH
• Patient Experience: Expected to complete Care Experience Module during onboarding
• Dress Code: Burgundy/Maroon scrubs
