Required Experience & Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
• Prior travel experience required (unit does not accept first-time travelers)
• Massachusetts state license required

  • Pending or conditional license accepted while permanent license is being processed
  • Must apply for temporary and permanent MA license upon offer

Work Schedule

• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend and holidays

Unit Information

• Unit Systems: Omnicell, Meditech Expanse
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Scrubs: Any color

Certifications (AHA Only, as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Tech Cert Verification - National
• State License Primary Source Verification

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check (including all aliases) within 30 days of start; annual updates required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification or official transcript
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance within 30 days of start
• Photo for badge (passport-style, light background)
• Facility-specific documents to review and sign (e.g., confidentiality agreements, compliance acknowledgements, behavior standards, emergency contact form, vehicle registration)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year (specific mask models required)
• Adult Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility guidelines
• TB questionnaire annually in lieu of TB test
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines; boosters if titer low/equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer or completed series; if incomplete, must start series with documentation
• Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if titer low/equivocal
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID: Documentation of most recent booster or signed declination form

Additional Notes

• References not required by facility but collected per standard
• Annual skills checklist required

This position is ideal for experienced respiratory/neuro diagnostics professionals with prior travel contract experience who hold or can obtain a Massachusetts state license. The role offers a consistent day shift schedule with every third weekend and holiday coverage.
