Job Opportunity: OR Registered Nurse (RN)

Location

• Critical Access facility with 2 ORs, 1 procedure room, and endoscopy room
• Patient age range: 0-99 years
• Patient population includes specialties: Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, OBGYN, Endoscopy

Unit Information

• Unit: Surgical Services OR RN
• Nurse-patient ratio: Circulate/Scrub as applicable
• Ancillary assistance: None specified
• Documentation system: EPIC (experience within past 2 years required)
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Floating: Not required
• Charge nurse: Not required
• Respiratory and anesthesia support available 24/7; ventilators managed by on-unit anesthesia
• Unit-specific procedures include drips, infusions, phlebotomy, starting IVs, performing venipuncture, EKGs, transports, weaning, nebulizer to inhaler, and C-sections (C-sections required)
• Scheduling: Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM with rotating weekly and weekend call; minimum every other weekend; 20-minute call back
• Holiday requirements: Must work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Day)
• No block schedules allowed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in specialty (OR nursing)
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with C-sections required
• Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
• EPIC experience within past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• Scrub experience highly preferred; strong circulator accepted
• Must have reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle recommended); public transportation not accessible
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history required (including bed count, EMR, facility type)

Contract Length

• 4 weeks (interpreted as 4 weeks based on contract_length value)

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses with prior travel experience who are comfortable with a variety of surgical specialties and procedures, including C-sections, and who have recent EPIC experience.
