Travel RN Opportunity - MICU, Dallas, TX
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Weekend – Rotating
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call Requirements: None
Required Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years MICU/MSICU experience (higher value between 1 and 2 years applied)
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Certification required
- CCRN certification preferred
Unit & Job Details
- Unit: MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit)
- Assignments based on acuity and skills
- Equipment used: ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
- Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
- Floating: As needed
Procedures Performed
- Central line placements
- Bedside procedures such as thoracentesis
- Dialysis catheter placements
- Cardioversions
- Intubations
- Other ICU procedures
Dress Code & Appearance Guidelines
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
- Nails: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen enhancements
- Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Facial hair: Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; exceptions addressed individually
- Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; no visible nose, tongue, or other piercings
Additional Notes
- Attendance policies follow company-wide standards
- Candidates without the required skills and certifications will not be considered
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
