Pharmacist Travel Opportunity

Location: Ashland, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Work Environment

• Critical Access Hospital with departments including ED, ICU, Med/Surg, Behavioral Health, Infusion Center, and Surgical Center
• Focus primarily on clinical pharmacy with less emphasis on infusion center
• Hospital pharmacy open from 06:30 to 19:00, offering 12-hour shifts (06:30-19:00 with 30-minute unpaid lunch) or 8-hour shifts (08:00-16:00)
• Weekend requirement: every 4th weekend
• Holiday work required
• No on-call requirement
• Scrubs or business casual dress code

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Wisconsin Pharmacy Licensure in good standing
• BLS Certification

Experience & Skills

• Must have recent acute hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (Omnicell system)
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding and USP regulatory/compliance guidelines (USP 797 and USP 800)
• Ability to review medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplication
• Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing
• Participate in medication reconciliation and discharge medication education
