Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may change based on manager’s needs)
• Start Date: January 5
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Local Radius Rule: 100 miles (locals not accepted)
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• First-timers: Not accepted unless 3+ years experience (strict)

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 3 years (minimum, strict)
• Certifications Required:

  • ARRT (R) – strict requirement
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only (required for certain units)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only (required for all except some roles)
• Licenses:

  • State License as applicable (TN license or multistate)
  • CT Techs assigned to TN require national certification but not TN state license
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • Within 60 days of start
  • Includes statewide, county, federal searches, education verification
  • Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (proof of vaccines or positive titers with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
  • Fit mask test (3M N-95) within 1 year, required for some techs
• Photo for Badge: Strict guidelines (passport-style photo, no hats, no glasses glare, no filters, recent within 6 months)

Additional Requirements

• References: Two recent professional references required
• Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
• Performance Evaluation: Required if employed with agency for 1 year or more
• Competency Exams: Must be taken within 1 year of start and updated annually (medication test, core parts I-III, color blind testing if applicable)

Facility Specific Information

• Dress Code:

  • Navy blue scrubs for RNs
  • Caribbean blue for RRTs
  • Steel gray for Surgical and OB Techs
  • No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
  • Business casual with lab coat for RN Case Managers
• Return to Office (RTO): All RTO must be included at time of submission; no additions after offer
