Job Opportunity: Pediatric/Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Specialty

• Pediatric & Neonatal Respiratory Therapist
• Preferred credential: RRT (CRT acceptable)
• Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in PICU and/or Level III or greater NICU
• No prior travel experience explicitly required

Work Setting

• NICU or PICU inpatient units
• Patient load: 20-25 treatments per day

Job Duties

• Provide all aspects of respiratory care including:

  • Use of aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA
  • Operation of Hamilton and Servo ventilators
  • Airway management and intrahospital transport
• Assist with intubation (independent intubation not required)

Scheduling & Shifts

• Preference scheduling allowed with commitment to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (weekends include Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per 4 weeks
• Holiday shifts possible
• No call or standby call required
• No floating required
• Typical shift: 12-hour nights (orientation includes 3x12 hour night shifts)

Equipment Used

• Ventilators: Hamilton and Servo
• BiPAP: Respironics & Hamilton
• High Flow Nasal Cannula: Fisher Paykel

Additional Information

• Department-specific orientation provided, length depends on prior experience
• Hospitalist or Intensivist available in-house
• Dress code: Stone/light gray scrubs
