Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Schedule: 36-hour shifts, days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Experience

• Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician

Certifications & Licenses

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required (NBSTSA or NCCT only)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• N95 Fit Test: Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually (no religious exemptions)
• MMR: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines OR proof of immunity via blood test
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30); no exemptions allowed
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date; updated if >6 month break
• Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional (3 vaccines or proof of immunity or declination)
• Tdap: Preferred within last 10 years
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date; updated if >6 month break
• Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if applicable
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required

Background & Professional Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start date; updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start date; updated if >6 month break
• National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days prior to start date; updated annually
• Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid): Within 30 days prior to start date; updated annually
• SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check covering last 7 years
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company (highest level achieved)

Submission Requirements

• Resume: Past 7 years of work experience including city & state
• References: 2 recent references, minimum 1 supervisor or above in skillset
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission
• Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for submission
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions

• No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start
• No religious or medical exemptions for vaccines or fit testing
• Documentation must be uploaded as PDFs where applicable
• Compliance with all credentialing and onboarding requirements is mandatory before start date
