Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Oregon City, Oregon

Job Details
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Floating: Required; may float between units and facilities based on skill set and unit needs (locations include Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent)
- On-Call: No
- Weekends: Yes, every other weekend
- Block Schedules: No
- Expected Ratios: Evening shifts 1:5, Night shifts 1:10
- Vehicle: Must have a vehicle for assignment
- Scrub Color: Any color allowed except OR/Critical Care/ED/Maternal Child where scrubs are provided
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse

- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (AWHONN or NCC-EFM) for applicable units
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (every 2 years)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)
- State License (RN) and NURSYS verification required
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches (Oregon and Washington) as applicable
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, updated annually
- Fit Mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually
Additional Requirements
- Must complete Providence Health and Services WorkRamp training modules prior to start (includes Core, Specialty, Regional, and Annual Regulatory modules as applicable)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
Floating Policy
- Floating to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance is required
- Floating to Seaside facility includes additional incentives and hotel accommodations for consecutive shifts
- Facility will provide as much notice as possible for floating assignments
Work Environment
- Scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units
- Floating between multiple units and facilities based on needs and skill set
- Epic electronic health record system used
This position is suitable for experienced travel RNs who are flexible with floating assignments and meet all certification, compliance, and health requirements.
