Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Licensure: Must have current RN license for Pennsylvania
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card required)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• Experience: Minimum years of specialty experience not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified as required

Compliance & Documentation

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start)
• Background Checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • SS Trace and County searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide and Sex Offender searches
  • Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results required (detailed process for obtaining and submitting results)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Annual TB questionnaire for past positive TB
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or accepted declination during flu season (10/1/2024 – 4/1/2025)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of multiple facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • Orientation Checklist
  • Pandemic Attestation
  • Code of Conduct
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Disclosure Statement
  • Assessment of Patient Policy (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Interdisciplinary Plans of Care (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Skin Integrity Training (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Mobility Training (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Catheter Training (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Cardiac Procedure Education Binder review (for Telemetry units)
  • Competency Assessment form (for Telemetry units)

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• General Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)

References & Skills

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years of start)
• Annual skills checklist required

This position requires a fully compliant RN with current licensure, ACLS and BLS certifications, and the ability to complete all required health screenings, background checks, and facility-specific trainings prior to assignment start.
