Operating Room Travel Position
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
- Shift options:
- 12-hour evening shifts (10 or 12 hours)
- Start times at 9 AM or 11 AM, with flexibility to start at 7 AM for day shifts
- Call requirements:
- Up to 4 calls per month, including weekends and holidays
- Short call: 2 hours after a shift once a week
- Weekend call coverage: 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM once a month
- Overnight weeknight call (7 PM–7 AM) once per week if working days
- Strong Orthopedics experience required
Specialty & Experience
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Required years of experience: 3 years (1-3 years stated, default to higher)
- Areas of expertise needed: Orthopedics and Total Joints, Gynecology, General Surgery
- Preferred: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise
Additional Requirements
- Massachusetts nursing license required
- No local travelers accepted (must live more than 50 miles from the facility)
- Travelers must not have worked for this health system as permanent or per diem staff within the last 6 months
- Orientation held weekly on Mondays (except holidays)
- Start date: ASAP, with at least 4 weeks lead time for compliance

- The East Campus has 20 ORs covering:
- Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics (Joint Replacements, Sports Medicine, Oncology), Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology
