Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts
- No call, no weekends
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
- Preferred Certifications:
- PET
- ARRT N (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Nuclear Medicine)
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
- Epic experience required
- Skills:
- Experience in hospital setting
- Familiarity with GE and Phillips equipment
- PET scan operation
- Dress Code: Black or ceil blue scrubs
Required Licenses and Certifications
- State License (Missouri or Compact License as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 12 months prior to start, including:
- SSN Trace
- 7-year county residence/work history
- Nationwide search
- Sex offender search
- State-specific background checks required for Missouri (MO EDL Search, MO Family Care Safety Registry)
- Drug screening within 12 months prior to start
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframes
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
- COVID vaccination preferred
Orientation and Training
- Completion of facility-specific modules and orientation checklists required prior to or during orientation
- Fit mask testing (respirator fit test) conducted onsite during first week of orientation; must be clean-shaven for fit test at this facility
- Additional online training may be required for ICU/CCU or Cath Lab candidates (e.g., AbioMed Impella Online Training)

- Medication/pharmacology competency exams and color vision testing may be required depending on role
