Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dubois, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Rotating shifts between 07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30, including every other weekend. Rotation typically every 6 weeks.

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have a valid Pennsylvania or compact nursing license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.
• NIH Stroke Certification required and must be renewed annually.
• Trauma experience preferred.
• Cerner experience required.

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, and PA statewide checks.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• PA FBI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed in Pennsylvania.
• Education verification required.
• NURSYS verification required for RN licenses.

Competencies & Training

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable.
• Competency Exam required as applicable.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units; annual certification required.
• Comprehensive Crisis Management certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units; annual certification required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months of start or chest X-ray within 5 years.
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years (declinations accepted with facility form).
• Required vaccinations or documented immunity (or declination forms) for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April); mask required if declined through 3/31.
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required.
• Alcohol breathalyzer test within 30 days of start (not required for this location).

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters).
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start.
• Completion of medical surveillance checklist prior to start.
• Completion of bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start.
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire.
• Annual skills checklist required.
• PA Child Abuse Search (Childline) within 1 year of start.

Travel Restrictions

• No local candidates within 75 miles.

This position offers a structured travel nursing opportunity with comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements, ideal for RNs with Cerner experience and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke. Trauma experience is preferred but not mandatory.
