Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Setting: Long-Term Care (LTC) Nursing Home

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
• Shift: Days, some weekends, holidays as needed
• Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks from offer
• Possible Extension: Yes
• EMR System: ECS

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of LTC experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• References: Two recent supervisor/manager level references required (verified within 12 months)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Must include SSN trace, counties, national sex offender, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks
  • Education verification required for all candidates
• Licensure:

  • Valid RN license with NURSYS verification required
  • Residency declaration form required if working on a compact license

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Fit test completed on site at no cost
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (9/3 through 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided
• TB questionnaire required within 30 days of start

Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (color copy required)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Transcript or diploma as proof of education (accepted in lieu of education verification if approved)
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing
• Facility-specific HealthStream modules must be completed prior to first day
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no selfies, jpeg format) required within 24 hours of signing
• Various facility-specific forms (e.g., IS115 form) must be completed and signed (wet ink or DocuSign accepted)
• Background checks and verifications must be current and compliant with facility standards

Additional Notes

• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) days; must be included on submission
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of assignment location will be considered but may have adjusted pay rates
• Fingerprinting requirements apply primarily to CNAs; RN candidates should confirm if applicable
• Candidates must be willing and able to complete fingerprinting appointments if out of state
