Unit Information: D2 (Mission Main Campus, 2nd Floor, D Corridor)

• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 (stretch), depending on level of care
• Patient Population:

  • Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care (medical-surgical and/or step-down patients)
  • Short stay patients (<24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover
• Equipment: Telemetry (all telemetry patients hardwired to bedside monitors)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

Required Skills and Experience

• Must Have:

  • Telemetry competency
  • Progressive care experience
• Preferred:

  • Recent progressive care experience

Typical Procedures

• Care for medical-surgical and step-down patients with telemetry monitoring
• Management of short stay patients with quick turnover

Additional Information

• Floating: Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed
• Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs
• Schedule: Every other weekend required, no on-call required
