Job Opportunity: RN Post Partum/OB/Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Job Description

• Provide care for laboring patients, including fetal monitoring.
• Care for mother/baby dyads and OB triage.
• Preferred experience with sick/transitional nursery and circulating in cesarean sections.
• Scrub experience in C-section is a plus.
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours/week).
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• No on-call required.
• Overtime available after 40 hours.

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (valid, unrestricted, and unencumbered).
• Certifications (must be current at start date):

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring)
• Preferred Certifications:

  • Inpatient Obstetrics
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • STABLE certification

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: RN Post Partum/OB/Labor & Delivery
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated (assume minimum 2+ years typical for specialty)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of vaccination or positive titer for MMR, Varicella, Influenza (seasonal requirement Nov-April).
• TB test (negative T-spot or QuantiFERON within last 6 months or 2-step skin test).
• Fit for Duty health statement completed within 1 year of start.
• Drug screen within 90 days prior to start.
• Core competency exams (OSHA & JC) and skill-specific competencies.
• Background checks including 7-year national criminal, sex offender, OIG, OFAC, and employment/education verifications.
• Professional documentation: Driver’s license/state ID, social security card, professional references (minimum 2), badge photo, emergency contact form.
• Must complete facility-specific system access agreements and onboarding paperwork promptly.

Work Environment

• Hospital-provided scrubs.
• No guaranteed hours; overtime available after 40 hours.

This position is ideal for an experienced RN specializing in postpartum, obstetrics, labor, and delivery who is comfortable working night shifts and has strong fetal monitoring skills. Prior travel experience is not required.
