Job Opportunity: MS Tele RN (Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit)

Location

• Assignment at a large, teaching facility (specific location not provided)

Contract Length

• 32 weeks (approximately 8 months)

Unit Description

• Neurosurgical & surgical unit (M5/McClure 5)
• Schedule includes a minimum of every other weekend and/or adjustments to meet unit and patient care needs
• Travelers must work 2 out of 4 specified holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Monday to Sunday shifts, no block schedules allowed

Requirements

• Prior travel experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of unit experience required
• Experience in a large, teaching facility required
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• Complete and detailed work history required (including bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
• Explanation required for any employment gaps over 90 days

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
• Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not accessible in the area
• Personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended
• Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April

This position is ideal for experienced travel nurses with prior travel assignments, strong unit experience, and proficiency in Epic EMR, looking for a long-term contract in a specialized neurosurgical and surgical unit.
