Location: Bradenton, Florida

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (5 procedure suites)
• Bed Capacity: 383 (hospital-wide)
• Staffing:

  • 1 Director
  • 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)
  • 4.6 staff RNs
  • 5 techs
• Shift: Day shift (all staff), Night shift (on-call crew for emergent cases)
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
• EMR Systems: MacLab & Meditech

Required Skills & Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Cardiac Cath Lab)
• Must Have:

  • Cardiac Cath experience
  • CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) experience
  • Peripheral Vascular (PV) experience
• Preferred:

  • Electrophysiology (EP) / Ablation (ABL) experience (EP experience is necessary)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Licenses:

  • Registered Nurse License

Typical Procedures

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization
• Peripheral Vascular procedures
• Pacemaker management
• Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs)
• Watchman device procedures
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Electrophysiology studies and Ablations (EP/ABL)

Equipment Used

• Shockwave
• Laser
• CSI
• Penumbra
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Impella
• Rotoblator

Schedule & Work Expectations

• Scheduled according to facility policy
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
