Job Overview

• On-Call Requirements:

  • 1 weeknight per week (3:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • 1 weekend out of 3 (Friday 3:30 PM - Tuesday 7:00 AM)
  • 1 holiday in rotation
• Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.

Job Description

• Integral member of the Interventional Radiology team.
• Perform radiological and technical skills using C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Assist physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Scrub cases alongside physicians.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required.
• No explicit prior travel experience required.

Certifications Required

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - must be active at start date (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)

Preferred Certifications

• Vascular Interventional Radiology
• Cardiovascular Intervention

• Hospital provided navy scrubs

Licensure

• Valid, unrestricted, and unencumbered Michigan license required.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Proof of vaccination or positive titer for MMR and Varicella.
• Influenza vaccine required from November 1 through April 30 (no declinations accepted except approved medical/religious exemptions).
• TB test: Negative T-spot or QuantiFERON within last 6 months, or 2-step skin test within last 6 months.
• Fit for Duty statement completed within 1 year of start.
• Drug screen results within 90 days prior to start.
• Criminal background check including 7-year national criminal, sex offender, and FACIS Level 3 searches within 90 days prior to start.
• Core competency exams (OSHA & JC) and skill-specific competencies required.
• Various professional verifications including education, employment, social security, and license verification.

Additional Requirements

• Must participate in hospital’s on-call rotation.
• Must complete hospital-specific skills checklist and self-assessment.
• Emergency contact form and healthcare system agreement must be completed promptly after offer acceptance.
