Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Battle Creek, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Schedule Options:
- 3x12 hour shifts (9:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
- 4x10 hour shifts (11:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
- Call Requirements:
- 3 overnight shifts per month
- 1 weekend 12-hour call shift per month (30-minute call window)
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend 12-hour call shift per month
- Float Requirement: None
Experience Requirements
- Years of Experience: 3 years (highest required)
- Specialty Experience:
- Orthopedics
- Vascular (specifically abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, endovascular, and carotid endarterectomy)
- DaVinci Xi Robotic experience (general, gynecology, and urology)
- Gynecology and urology experience
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Licenses & Certifications
- Michigan Nursing License (required)
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI as applicable based on unit
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required for ER positions at this location
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- I-9 and E-Verify documentation
- Government-issued photo ID
- Criminal background check within 45 days of start (lifetime search including SSN trace, national/statewide criminal, sex offender, education verification, MVR)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Michigan LARA fingerprinting within 45 days of start (for applicable positions)
- Education verification (copy of highest degree or diploma)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug testing: 10-panel including Marijuana/THC within 45 days of start
- Immunizations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (must include pertussis)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 45 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for candidates starting after November 1
- References: One professional reference from a supervisor or manager required
- Complete employment application/resume with full 7 years work history, no gaps
Additional Notes
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
- Code of Conduct and Appearance Standards Policy must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
- Fit testing required onsite for certain roles; appointment must be scheduled and documented
- Central Registry Clearance required for pediatric, RRT, L&D, and certain other specialty placements
- Medication and competency exams must be completed within 1 year prior to assignment start with passing scores
