Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MedSurg) - Morgantown, West Virginia

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (MedSurg)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Nights (4x12 or 3x12 shifts), 19:00 - 07:30, includes weekdays and weekends (3 per 4-week schedule)
• Unit Info: 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-7
• EMR System: Cerner
• Possible Extension: Yes

Experience & Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• Certifications Required:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
• Additional Preferred Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC (depending on specialty area)
• Attendance Expectation: Facility allows only 2-3 call-offs per contract due to attendance issues

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • RN License verification (must be current)
  • All required certifications must be on file prior to start; no pending certifications allowed
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annual)
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD within 1 year or IGRA within 2 years)
  • Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination required
  • Drug testing (10 panel) within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Other Required Documents:

  • Proof of I9 or attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • E-Verify documentation
  • Employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Minimum 2 clinical references within past 2 years
  • Photo for badge prior to clearance
  • Facility-specific forms including background drug screen consent, non-disclosure agreement, parking pass, and ReadySet (RS) surveys (online health assessment)
  • Completion of Cerner Learning Training Modules prior to orientation
  • Completion of Care Learning Modules prior to start date

• Scrubs are not provided
• Facility has strict attendance policies; excessive call-offs may not be tolerated
• Candidates must complete all required training and documentation by facility deadlines
• Color blind testing and competency exams may be required as applicable
