Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Work Setting: Main Operating Room (OR)
- Surgical Areas: General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, Colorectal
- Required Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (1st time travelers accepted)
- Circulate and Scrub experience required (HARD STOP)
- Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, 2 DaVinci XI Robots
- Ratio/Census: 16 rooms, average daily census of 35
- Scrub Color: Provided by facility
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Rotating weekends
- Rare floating
- Call Requirements: 7-8 calls in a 6-week schedule plus 1 weekend call and 1-2 weekend shifts
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (up to 2 holidays)
- Orientation Hours: Non-billable hours based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on specialty area
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke, etc.) may be required based on clinical area (refer to specialty requirements)
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in specialty
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required
- Must have circulate and scrub experience in OR
- Clinical screening required to determine fit before final approval
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks
- Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start
- Education Verification: Degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- State License: Must be valid for Georgia
- NURSYS Verification: Annual verification within 30 days prior to start
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually
- Immunizations:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
- Competency Exams: Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Color Blind Testing, and general competency exams required as applicable

- Locals accepted at same rate
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Appearance Policy
- References: 2 clinical references required
- Skills Checklist and Work History Verification required, can be pending at start with proof of processing
