Job Description
- Inpatient pediatric and acute care Occupational Therapy (OT) needs.
- Inpatient and pediatric experience preferred.
- Perform complex diagnostic evaluations following departmental and professional guidelines.
- Verify appropriateness of referrals and communicate with providers as needed.
- Review patient medical history and select, administer, and interpret a broad range of standardized and non-standardized tests to assess functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor functions.
- Integrate clinical knowledge into decisions and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy.
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts.
- Higher years of specialty experience expected (not explicitly stated, but implied to be significant due to complexity of role).
Certifications & Competencies Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or American Red Cross only; required for all clinical/allied positions.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required if assignment is extended past 13 weeks (specific units).

- Immunizations and proof required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap after age 11 acceptable, no declinations).
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (annual requirement).
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titers.
- Hepatitis B - series and/or declination accepted with documentation.
- Varicella - proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer.
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually by specified deadlines.
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required; seasonal COVID vaccine preferred but not mandatory.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (not required for APNs).
- RespSafety Clearance required for all travelers; facility-specific fit testing done onsite.

- Proof of name change required if documents are under different names.
