Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Sumter, South Carolina

Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- No weekends
- Floating required: Agency staff must float to other units/campuses within the health system as needed, only to units where qualified and competent.

- State License – Primary source verification required, no pending actions
- Other certifications may apply depending on specific unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI)
- National Tech Certification – Must be current and valid for RRT or CRT if applicable
Compliance & Background Requirements
- I9 verification
- Driver’s License or State ID required ASAP for computer access and must be carried on duty
- E-Verify or attestation
- Background Check: 7-year history within 12 months of start, including alias and county/state searches for all places lived/worked in last 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Fingerprinting may be required depending on prior residency and role
- Education Verification: Highest level required, diplomas not accepted as placeholders
- Drug Testing: 5-panel drug screen within 1 year, updated annually
- Physical Exam: Physician’s statement within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and Health Documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working/floating in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption required (not for remote workers)
Training & Competency Exams
- Core Competency Training (Parts I, II, III) annually, including OSHA, patient safety, and ethical care
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam annually for medication-dispensing roles
- Color Blind Testing for ED, Pediatric ER, and MLT/MLS roles
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) for RNs in specified units
- Online Orientation Modules: Must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
- Pre-Assignment Testing: Must be completed within 72 hours of receiving login info; two attempts allowed
- EKG Practice Test and Study Guide for applicable roles
Additional Requirements
- Badge photo with specific guidelines (passport style, plain background, no obstructions)
- Floating Policy acknowledgment required
- Contractor Acknowledgment form required within 24 hours of contract signing
- HIPAA and OSHA training acknowledgment
- Some units may require additional certifications such as Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)

- Prisma Health is a latex-free environment
- Respirator Fit Test (N95) completed onsite during orientation
- Candidates must have stable internet and computer access for online testing (no tablets or phones)
- Candidates must be prepared for time-sensitive testing and orientation requirements
- Returning candidates may have some documentation grandfathered if returning to the same facility and role within 30 days
This position offers a structured weekday schedule with no weekends and requires flexibility to float within the health system. Compliance with extensive credentialing, background checks, and training is mandatory.
