Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • NIH Stroke Certification (within 1 year of start)
  • EKG Exam: Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia competency test (updated annually)
• Licenses:

  • State RN license with primary source verification
  • NURSYS verification required
• Competencies:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Color Blind Testing (prior to start)
  • Competency Exam (prior to start)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (advanced level, updated annually)
• Patient Care:

  • 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Weekend coverage every third weekend
• Clinical Experience:

  • Cardiac patient diagnoses
  • Experience with Balloon Pump, Impella, and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)

Background & Screening

• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification matching specialty (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
• KY State Abuse Registry Check (for Home Health specialties)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required by facility but required by agency standards)
• Fit mask test annually (with waiver process for failed fit tests)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Baseline TB risk assessment within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Immunizations:

  • 2 MMR vaccines or IgG titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (declinations not accepted)
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
  • 2 Varicella vaccines or IgG titer (declinations not accepted)
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
