Job Opportunity: RN Infusion - Boston, Massachusetts

Position Details

• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hour Day/Night rotating shifts, every other week (EOW), every other holiday (EOH)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years oncology infusion experience in an Academic Medical Center (AMC)
• Minimum 1+ year outpatient experience
• Prior travel experience required (at least 1 year traveler experience or must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract)

Required Skills and Certifications

• Strong IV and patient assessment skills
• Experience with complex gastrointestinal (GI) regimens
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification required

Required Credentials and Compliance (Must be completed prior to or at onboarding)

• Licenses:

  • Primary source verification of professional nursing license (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required)
  • Massachusetts Conditional Licenses NOT accepted
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
  • ONS certification (required)
• Health Requirements:

  • Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date
  • Social Security Number trace and National Sex Offender Registry check
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid)
• Other Requirements:

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
  • Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
  • Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)

Summary

This is a long-term infusion RN role requiring oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center setting, outpatient experience, and prior travel experience. The position demands strong clinical skills, ONS certification, and compliance with extensive credentialing and health requirements. The schedule includes rotating day and night shifts with every other week and holiday rotations.
