Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Population: Adults, geriatrics, neonatal and pediatrics (including possible micro-premies to hospice)
• Unit Beds: 75
• Equipment Used: Vocsn Ventilators, V60 BiPAPs
• Float Requirements: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Required Experience & Certifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in respiratory therapy specialty
• Must Have: Some neonatal and pediatric experience
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Licenses: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) License for Iowa

Onboarding Requirements

• Iowa SING Background Check clearance (including criminal and child abuse portions) – no exceptions
• All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult required
• 10-panel drug test including opiates required
• Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
