Location: Pearland, Texas

Unit Information

• Unit: Cath Lab
• Number of Beds: 5 recovery bays
• Number of Staff: 8 FTE
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 5 eight-hour shifts
  • Night Shift: Not applicable
• Patient Ratios: 2 per procedural room / 5 in recovery
• Equipment: GE/Philips
• EMR Systems: Meditech, MERGE

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience
• Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Ability to take call is required
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Typical Procedures Performed

• Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
• Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA)
• Stenting
• Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) support
• Peripheral Angiograms and interventions
• Pacemaker (PPM) and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) procedures
• Electrophysiology (EP) studies and Ablations
• Some Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures
• Thrombectomy
• Laser and Directional Atherectomy

Schedule & Call

• One weekend of call per month
• 8 to 10 weekdays on call

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
