Description

Operating Room Travel Position

Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Employment Type: Travel

Job Details

Specialty: Operating Room (Scrub Tech)
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years OR experience
Prior Travel Experience: Required
Certifications:
- AHA BLS required
- NBSTSA required
- CNOR preferred

Work Environment & Responsibilities

Assignment duration: 16-32 weeks
Location: Outpatient surgery (sports medicine including ACL reconstruction, MCL, hand/foot surgery, eye surgery, urology, plastics)
Rotating Day/Evening shifts
Float required
Weekend and on-call shifts as needed (approximately 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 2 weeks)
No block schedules; workdays may vary Monday through Sunday
Bi-weekly orientations available

Additional Requirements & Notes

All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
Complete work history required (including bed count, EMR, facility type)
Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not available
Personal or rental vehicle recommended
Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April

This position is suitable for experienced OR techs comfortable with a flexible schedule and prior travel assignments.
