Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Abilene, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 5x8 hour shifts
• Rotating weekends
• On-call duties

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Registered in Echo (ARDMS with RDCS or RCS) and Vascular (RVT or RCS) for adults
• Candidates with CCI/vascular registry only considered if able to perform Echo
• Pediatric experience is a bonus
• ACLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• BLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• PALS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
• NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (refer to job details)
• State License verification required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) required within 30 days of start

Health & Safety Requirements

• Immunizations and titers required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (Positive titer or 2 vaccines required)
  • Hepatitis B (Positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
  • Varicella (Positive titer or 2 vaccines required)
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); religious or medical exemptions accepted

Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion and signing of multiple facility-specific acknowledgments and agreements prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, TB and occupational exposure, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality, compliance, background check authorization)
• Orientation includes mandatory modules (~3-4 hours)
• Parking available for orientation and employment

Competency & Testing

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
• Color blind testing (online) required
• Pass/fail testing for Telemetry nurses (if applicable) with up to 2 attempts

References & Documentation

• Two references required within 3 years of start
• Copy of resume/application required
• Skills checklist required and updated annually
