Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Specialist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Description

• Work in Diagnostic/Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (no weekends)
• On-call: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (on-call/callback pay applies if cases run past 3 PM)
• No overnight, weekend, or holiday call
• Holiday time off requests during specified holidays will not be accommodated (holidays include Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day)

Required Certifications & Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified
• Licensure: RCIS or RCES or ARRT RT (CI) preferred

Experience Requirements

• Must have experience in Diagnostic/Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab

• Immunizations/vaccines required: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug testing within 45 days of start (specific drug panel required)
• Seasonal Flu vaccine required for 2025-26 season (no declinations accepted; exemptions only for medical/religious reasons with documentation)

Competency Exams & Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Color Blind Testing (within 12 months)

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for all RNs)
• Core Part I, II, III Competency Exams (annual updates required)

Additional Certifications (if applicable)

• PALS, NRP, CHEMO, OCN, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI (depending on unit and role)

• Photo for badge: passport style, solid background, no filters or facial piercings
• Employment application with 7-year work history, no unexplained gaps over 30 days
• Two supervisory references from past 3 years required
• Unit-specific skills checklist updated within the last year

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday through Friday daytime hours with evening on-call shifts (no weekends or overnight)
• No holiday time off during major holidays; requests can be discussed onsite after assignment start
