Job Details

Required Experience

- NURSYS Verification (within 30 days of start)
- Tech Cert Verification - National (within 30 days of start)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update required)
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (Telemetry RNs)
Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year background check required within 1 year of start; updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Education Verification (highest level) or transcript/diploma
- State-specific checks for Texas (DADS Employability Status and Employee Misconduct Registry) within 30 days of start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
- Fit Mask test (annual; 3M 1860 Regular or 1860S required)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (PPD or Qgold/Tspot within 1 year; chest X-ray for positives within 5 years)
- TB Questionnaire (annual)
- Rubeola (Measles) – positive titer or 2 vaccines; MMR booster if negative/equivocal
- Mumps – positive titer or 2 vaccines; MMR booster if negative/equivocal
- Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines; MMR booster if negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B – positive titer, series of 3, or declination; booster or declination post titer if low/equivocal
- Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster if negative/equivocal
- Drug Testing – negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed; facility conducts additional drug screen on arrival
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or exemption for 2025-26 season
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must meet or exceed passing score)
- Color Blind Testing (online Ishihara test acceptable)
- Competency Exam (as applicable)

- Pass/Fail testing for Telemetry nurses includes EKG and medication knowledge; candidates have 2 attempts to pass.
- Candidates must be prepared to comply with all health, background, and competency requirements within specified timeframes.
- Onsite fit testing option available for a fee.
