Job Opportunity: Cardiac Sonographer (Travel/Contract)

Location: Owensboro, Kentucky

Call: 2 times per week
Weekends: As needed

Requirements

• Licensure/Certifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Education:

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
  • Pediatric experience required
• Prior Travel Experience:

  • Not explicitly required

Certifications (As Required)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – highly preferred
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification and transcript/diploma as needed
• State license primary source verification
• Facility-specific onboarding and documentation completion required prior to start

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annual)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening (9-panel) within last 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required; declination form required if unvaccinated

Additional Competencies and Testing

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (required within 72 hours of signing and annually)
• Pass/fail testing for clinical skills may be required with remediation process

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations accepted
• Complete employment application/resume required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations may be required depending on prior work history
