Job Description

• Support program for HIV positive individuals in an outpatient setting
• Provide case management, care coordination, and support
• Work closely with the outpatient HIV clinic
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty

Licensure & Certification Requirements

• Maryland Medical License required at time of submission
• LCSW or LMSW license required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Social Services
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I9 form and E-Verify attestation required
• Government-issued photo ID required (valid driver’s license or state ID)
• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification required (third-party verification or transcript/diploma acceptable as placeholder)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to meet essential job functions
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Drug screening (9 panel) within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Various immunizations required or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• TB questionnaire updated annually

Additional Certifications & Exams (As Applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit or role (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification, Crisis Prevention Institute, etc.)
• Competency exams such as medication test/pharmacology and unit-specific competency exams may be required

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Consent to release information form must be completed prior to start
• Hand hygiene policy review required
• Floating policy and time & attendance policy for contracted staff must be completed and signed
• Stroke and trauma CEUs may be required depending on unit assignment and must be maintained annually

Work History & References

• Verification of employment required for 2 workplaces within the last 7 years (W2 or direct supervisor references acceptable)
• Professional references required (2 within 2 years for travel assignments)

Notes

• Respirator fit testing will be completed onsite if applicable; not required for non-clinical roles
• EKG/dysrhythmia competency exams may be required depending on unit; must be renewed annually if applicable
