Number of Beds: 70
Number of Staff: 120
Day Shift Staffing Example: 1 charge nurse, 2 resource nurses, 2 admit nurses, 7-15 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 3 patients (couplets)
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: CPN

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year as an RN
Must Have:
- Mother/Baby experience
Preferred:
- NICU/postpartum experience

Typical Procedures Performed

Mother/Baby care
Lactation consultant support
Phototherapy
Blood sugar checks
IV antibiotics administration

Certifications Required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Work Environment

Floating: Rare, but may float as a resource nurse
Dress Code: Scrubs (specific color/attire not specified)
Schedule: 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule
On Call: No call required
