Cardiopulmonary Therapist (CRT or RRT) - Contract Position

Location: Herrin, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Night shift, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Job Description

• Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans within a multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and/or responsible persons about respiratory disease processes, interventions, and discharge instructions.
• Accept reassignment to other units as needed.
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a role model for clinical practice.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree required
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Illinois State License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Maternal Health Care (NRP-MHC)
• Specialty: Cardiopulmonary (CRT or RRT)
• Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with RRT licensure.
