Job Details

• Shift: Rehab Nights
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Open to 1st time travelers (prior travel experience NOT required)
• Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
• BLS certification required

Required Certifications (as applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Certification (expires annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Required Verifications and Documents

• Primary source online verification of state nursing license
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Education verification (highest level of education)
• 7-year background check (including SS trace, county searches, sex offender registry, education verification)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
• Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
• Clear headshot photo for badge
• Employment application/resume
• Unit-specific skills checklist (annual)
• 7-year work history verification

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (must be renewed annually)
• Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire (if positive TB test) within 90 days of start, renewed annually
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, full series, or declination accepted
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

• I9 verification for direct candidates
• Driver’s license or state ID required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (as applicable)
• Color blindness test (online)
• Competency exams with minimum passing scores (as applicable)

Notes

• Fingerprints must be redone for every new contract
• Fingerprinting clearance required before working on unit (1-3 business days processing)
• Behavioral Health RNs must have APNA eLearning Center certification for conducting face-to-face assessments in restraint or seclusion prior to start

This position is suitable for Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of experience in rehab nursing, open to first-time travel nurses, and requires compliance with extensive credentialing, health, and background verification processes.
