Registered Nurse (Telemetry - Boarding RNs)

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Floating Requirement: Yes
• Holiday Requirement: Rotational
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Locals Accepted: No, must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
• Pending License: Accepted if active by start date
• Additional Staffing Notes:

  • 2 RNs must be critical care certified
  • 6 RNs must be telemetry-trained

Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-timers accepted)
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• Preferred Certifications:

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Testing & Exams

• Must pass an on-site EKG test prior to application submission
• EKG exam covers:

  • Identification of cardiac conduction system parts
  • Understanding of strip paper boxes
  • Identification and naming of basic dysrhythmias
  • Labeling waves and intervals (PR, QRS)

Background & Health Requirements

• Background check required within 90 days of start, covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
• Physical exam required
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
• TB testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Qgold within 1 year (T-Spots not accepted)
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Flu vaccine required prior to start or approved medical/religious exemption (documentation due by 12/15)

Additional Facility Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine required unless medical or religious exemption is approved
• Completion of facility-specific modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start
• Submission of a clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement must be signed prior to start
