Cath Lab Technician - Salem, Massachusetts (LTA Contract)

Position Overview

• Specialty: Cath Lab Technician
• Location: Salem, MA
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00am - 5:30pm) with 7 call shifts per 4-week schedule block (including 3 full weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (2 rooms) - procedures include PCI, Impella, balloon pump, device implants, ablations, etc.
• Patient Population: Adult
• EMR System: EPIC - Cupid
• Equipment: Toshiba X-Ray
• Floating: Potentially to Interventional Radiology

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 3+ years of recent experience in Cath/EP Lab
• Skill Sets Required:

  • Interventional Cardiac
  • PCI
  • Scrub experience
  • EPIC experience
  • EP responsibilities including scrubbing for device implants, lead revision, and ablations
• Certifications Required:

  • ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist (NO RCIS)
  • Current Massachusetts Radiology Tech License
  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Additional Certifications/Health Requirements:

  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30)
  • Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date
  • TB test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot within 3 months of start date
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year
  • Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, exclusion checks
  • References: 2 recent, including at least 1 supervisor or above in skillset
  • Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission

Licensure & Compliance

• Primary source verification of professional license required within 30 days of start date
• No Massachusetts conditional licenses accepted
• Various background and compliance checks must be current and updated as required

Additional Notes

• Traveler must secure housing within 30 minutes of the facility to fulfill on-call obligations
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technicians with strong interventional cardiac and EP lab skills, who hold ARRT certification and current Massachusetts licensure, and are comfortable with call responsibilities and a 4x10 day shift schedule.
