Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a combination of Orthopedics, Plastics, and OB/GYN
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care in the OR. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff to provide care according to state regulations, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure availability of supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families
• Update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgeries
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (Operating Room RN with Ortho, Plastics, OB/GYN experience)
