Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Weekends only, evenings (2 PM - 2 AM), Friday through Sunday
• Call Requirements: Sundays, 2 AM - 6 AM
• Equipment Used: GE Ultrasound equipment
• EMR System: Cerner
• Unit Details:

  • 2 beds in unit
  • 15-20 patients per day
• Floating: Not required
• Scrub Color: Hunter Green
• Weekly Guarantees: 48-hour weekly guarantees are NOT approved

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1+ years of Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer experience
• Certifications:

  • ARDMS required
  • Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Maintains State License as a general radiographer
• Education: Graduate of an accredited AMA school

Responsibilities

• Provide timely diagnostic ultrasound services to inpatient and outpatient populations under Radiologist direction and departmental protocols
• Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms
• Proficient in scanning small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum
• Perform ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations
