Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit Name: MS2 & MS3
• Number of Beds: 27 beds per floor
• Patient Ratios: 5:1
• Staffing: Unit secretaries during dayshift; techs available on all shifts
• Floating: Required to float between MS2 and MS3 units
• Scheduling: 3 days per week with every other weekend

Required Skills & Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med/Surg specialty
• Experience: Basic Med/Surg experience required; experience with post-op patients, especially orthopedic patients, preferred
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred but not required
• Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Blood transfusions
• IV and central line maintenance

Equipment & Documentation

• Computer on Wheels (brand new)
• Pyxis medication system
• Welch Allen vital sign machines (brand new)
• Documentation system transitioning from Medhost to Meditech (effective April 19th)

Dress Code

• Required uniform color: Dark blue
