Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU Nights)

Location: Norwalk, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• ICU experience highly preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in critical care/ICU
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA ACLS required for ICU
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only
• Other certifications (if applicable): PALS, NRP, TNCC (depending on unit)

Licensure & Verification

• Valid state nursing license with primary source verification
• NURSYS verification required for all RNs
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Fingerprinting (Ohio BCI and FBI) within 12 months of start date
• Employment application and clinical references required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annually)
• Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccinations required (boosters if low titers)
• Hepatitis B: Titer or vaccine series required (declination not accepted)
• Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccinations required (boosters if low titers)
• 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Competency & Training

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required
• Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required

Additional Notes

• Local candidates accepted at same rate
• Must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Facility-specific forms and onboarding documents must be completed prior to start
• Prior travel experience explicitly required for this role
