Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Ashtabula, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 23 weeks (non-negotiable)

Work Schedule

• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required, with days off around the weekend worked
• No on-call required

Experience & Licensure Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• Ohio state license required prior to start
• Must have ARRT(R) certification and AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of submission

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Radiology exams and Fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages
• Maintain patient safety throughout procedures

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA only (Instructor or Provider); RQI acceptable
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA only (Instructor or Provider); RQI acceptable (preferred but not required for this role)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit or specialty area, but BLS is mandatory

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID required on assignment
• Background check including FCRA compliant 7-year search, SSN trace, sex offender registry, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, and education verification required prior to start
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months required and must be updated annually
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract; candidates may start with results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions
• Fit mask testing completed onsite during orientation
• Immunizations required:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months (true 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
• Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required year-round

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse (co-worker references not accepted)
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area
• Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (multiple hours)
