Unit Information

Number of Beds: 68
Staffing: 4 total RTs (2 day shift, 2 night shift)
Patient Ratios: 1 RT to 20-30 patients
Equipment Used: Continuous pulse oximetry, CPAP, BIPAP, ventilator, EKG machine
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Skills

Incentive Spirometry knowledge and education
Entering appropriate RT charges
Using and troubleshooting EKG machine
Setting up CPAP
Identifying when O2 tank is low

Preferred Skills

Strong people skills
Excellent assessment skills
