Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)
Location: Nashville, TN
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 32
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Staffing: Student nurse externs available as techs; Unit secretary available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Phillips telemetry monitors
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 4-week schedules with 3-4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
Floating Policy: Float as needed depending on unit census
Dress Code: Scrubs (galaxy blue, red, black); scrub jackets or vests only

Required Skills & Experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cardiac nursing)
Cardiac Experience: Must have cardiac and strong critical care experience
Advanced Skills:
- PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Impella device
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) preferred
Procedures Performed: Central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, intubations

Certifications & Licenses

Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
