Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Burlington, Vermont
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks


Job Description

  • Position: X-ray Technologist with a strong Operating Room (OR) background
  • Weekend rotations: Possibly every other weekend or more, subject to change
  • Call: Some call required
  • Holiday work: Must work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Floating: Required to float to other campuses
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required
  • Epic EMR: Experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday, no block schedules
  • Transportation: Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation; vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November to April

Required Experience

  • Specialty: Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology with OR experience
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA approved
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA approved
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA approved (check unit requirements)
  • State License verification (primary source within 30 days of start and upon expiration)
  • National Tech Certification verification within 30 days of assignment start

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, updated annually
  • Education verification based on job requirements (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields or proof of transcripts)
  • Vermont Adult and Child Abuse Registry Consent Form
  • Vermont Crime Information Center (VCIC) criminal background check (for Vermont placements)
  • COVID-19 vaccination attestation and questionnaire (must be completed prior to start)
  • Drug testing (not required annually for VT facilities but must be obtained prior to start)
  • References: 2 professional references from assignments within last 3 years
  • Employment application and skills checklist within 12 months
  • Work history verification for the most recent 2 years of clinical work

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • N95 Fit Mask test (annual) with approved mask types
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years or titer
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within past 12 months; chest X-ray if positive
  • Annual TB questionnaire if positive TB test
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series and titer or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
  • Pneumonia vaccination or declination required if assigned to New York facility

Orientation & Training

  • Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
  • Completion of EPIC and Cornerstone modules prior to start (approx. 8 hours, non-billable)
  • Must provide screenshot of module completion
  • No block schedules; flexible Monday to Sunday shifts

Additional Notes

  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
  • Complete and detailed work history required (including bed count, EMR, facility type)
  • Photo for badge required (passport style, plain background, no logos or hats)
  • Auto insurance required if using personal or rental vehicle
  • Must review facility dress code and telephone usage policies prior to start
  • COVID testing protocol on Day 1 of work (if deemed necessary) with no out-of-pocket cost
  • Must set up NameTag Verification and complete emergency contact and workday attestation forms

This position requires a dedicated Radiology/Cardiology technologist with OR experience, flexibility for floating and weekend/holiday work, and compliance with extensive credentialing and health requirements. Reliable transportation and readiness to complete pre-assignment training and documentation are essential.
