Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bethpage, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights (7:00pm - 7:30am)
• Hours: 48 hours/week preferred; will accept 36 hours/week
• Schedule: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Start Dates: 12/29 or 1/21 only
• Interview Availability: Must provide availability in EST for the next two business days to be considered

Requirements

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • New York State RN License (must have in hand)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in specialty or comparable/higher acuity area (per employment application requirement)
  • No explicit prior travel experience required
• References:

  • 2 clinical references required (supervisor level or above, Charge RNs acceptable)

Compliance & Documentation

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check completed within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Includes SS Trace, County search, National Sex Offender, National Criminal, FACIS Level 3, OFAC, OMIG (NY Medicaid exclusions), OIG, SAM
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
• Education Verification:

  • Diploma or transcript acceptable
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (minimum 80%)
• Health Documents:

  • Facility-specific Physical Exam form completed by physician within 30 days of start
  • Fit Mask test (using Halyard Fluidshield N95 or 3M 1860 mask) within 12 months of start, updated annually
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines; revaccination if low/equivocal)
  • Hepatitis B antibody and antigen results required (3-series alone not sufficient)
  • Drug Testing: Standard 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually (no rapid tests)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination required October 1 - April 30 (declinations allowed for religious/medical exemptions)
  • COVID vaccination preferred (initial series)
• State Specific:

  • New York State Medicaid Exclusion List check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Other Facility Documents:

  • Signed Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) form prior to start

• Orientation date subject to change based on Nursing Education availability
• Locals within 75 miles considered with a pay adjustment (not included here)
